Masood Siddique is a fisheries and environment biologist with a strong background in research, training, extension and project management. He is skilled to conduct research and studies and documentation of the outcomes in the areas of natural resource conservation and management including climate change aspects as well. He has practical working experiences in a variety of aquaculture and fisheries situations from small-scale rural fish farming to large-scale commercial coastal and marine fishing enterprises. He is well experienced in community based natural resource management and in-depth knowledge in community mobilization techniques and approaches.
Mr. Siddique formerly worked under the Department of Fisheries (DOF), Bangladesh and successfully accomplished a number of government initiated development projects like Fourth Fisheries Project, Community Based Fisheries Management Project (CBFM-2) and MACH project etc. Over the time he left DOF and started his carrier as consultants and successfully completed a number of project as Team Leader and Project Coordinator under different international and national organizations. He is also skilled in human resource management and development. Capable in identifying local development needs and means of implementation of those. He has good access and strong linkages with different government/non-government agencies relevant to natural resources management and capable of coordinating NRM interventions with the partnering agencies.
Mr. Siddique’s did his BSc (Honors) in Zoology and Masters in Limnology from Chittagong University and prost graduate diploma in Marine Fishing Technology from JICA, Japan. He has a good number of publications that he presented in several workshops/seminars both in country and abroad.
