Tarun Kumar Mustafy

Tarun Kumar Mustafy is currently employed as a Senior Research Associate at Associates for Innovative Research and Development (AIRD) Ltd. He obtained his degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh in the Faculty of Fisheries. Tarun specializes in managing open water fisheries resources, assessing fish productivity and biodiversity, evaluating fisher livelihoods in haor districts of Bangladesh and floodplains, developing project proposals, supervising staff, conducting baseline, midline and end-line evaluation studies, collecting data, implementing climate-smart agriculture practices, and disaster risk reduction (DRR). He has also worked with Union Digital Center’s Entrepreneurs to establish access to information for marginalized people. Tarun has experience in managing community-based organizations and institutional development. His research interests include open-water fisheries resources management, fish polyculture, and climate-smart agriculture. He is proficient in using Microsoft Office and has received training in process documentation, project management, SBCC, environmental compliance management (ECM) including climate risk management (CRM), entrepreneurship development and business planning of enterprises, logical framework, PRA tools, the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse, among others. Tarun is dedicated to his work.to undertaking societal issues through social research and business development of various sectors.
