Objectives: The study aimed to evaluate case management, psychosocial support, positive parenting, and access to inclusive education for children. It also assessed learning facilities, teacher proficiency in inclusive methods, protection, and understanding of corporal punishment policies among school staff and students.
Location: Teknaf Pourashava, Sabrang, Camps 18, Naya Para, Kutupalong, Camps 22, Camps 26.
Duration of Assignment: For this assignment, AIRD had been involved for four (4) months, from July 7 to October 10, 2024.
Narrative Description of Project: The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Cox’s Bazar has left over 900,000 Rohingya refugees, mostly children, reliant on aid. These children, along with those in host communities, face critical protection risks like violence, child marriage, labor, and trafficking. A project by Save the Children and partners aims to address these issues through case management, education, and stronger child protection, guided by a baseline study assessing the situation.

The conceptual structure was developed by AIRD, alongside a mixed-methods (quantitative and qualitative) design, primary surveys with 1,417 respondents, 12 key informant interviews (KIIs), 14 focus group discussions (FGDs), and 6 in-depth interviews that were conducted. Furthermore, after obtaining secondary data and analyzing the results, they created thorough recommendations to improve community resilience, programming, and policy.
