Narrative Description of Project: The RESILIENT project, implemented by Cordaid in Bangladesh and funded by the Coca-Cola Foundation, aims to enhance the livelihoods of waste actors by strengthening the value chain for plastic waste collection in Dhaka North and Narayanganj. The project focuses on improving waste governance in land and water bodies while empowering civil society organizations to hold stakeholders accountable. Key objectives include fostering economic and social well-being among waste workers, promoting safe collection practices, and enhancing entrepreneurship and financial management skills. The project aligns with Coca-Cola’s World Without Waste vision, which aims for a 100% collection and recycling rate of its packaging by 2030. It emphasizes collaboration among local stakeholders, municipalities, and private sector organizations to improve waste management policies and practices. The assessment will evaluate economic empowerment, health and safety, social status of waste collectors, and the quality of partnerships, as well as analyse improvements in waste collection and processing efficiency.
