Gender Analysis – Women’s Protection and Empowerment Program

Description: 

Objectives: The study aims to understand gender-specific needs, inequalities, and risks faced by women, girls, men, boys, gender diverse individuals, and other vulnerable groups in both refugee and host communities in Cox’s Bazar. It intends to inform and improve the Women’s Protection and Empowerment (WPE) program, addressing issues related to decision-making, voice, vulnerability, and protection risks.

Location: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh

Duration of Assignment: 3 months (June 2023 – Ongoing)

Narrative Description of Project: The project is a gender analysis study focused on the Rohingya community in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. It aims to promote gender-transformative outcomes in the region and enhance the Women’s Protection and Empowerment program implemented by IRC. The study will address key questions and provide recommendations for program improvement.

Description of Actual Services Provided by AIRD: Associates for Innovative Research and Developments (AIRD) provided services including the development of an Inception Report, Methodology, and Questionnaire, conducting Primary and Secondary Data Collection, Data Entry and Analysis, and Monitoring of the project. AIRD was also responsible for Report Writing.
