Gender equality, inclusion and child protection assessment

Description: 

Objectives: The project aims to conduct an assessment addressing the Rohingya refugee crisis in Bangladesh and specifically focuses on the “Lifting Healthy, Empowered, and Protected Girls and Women in Cox’s Bazar (LEAP)” project. It aims to strengthen child protection mechanisms and improve the well-being of vulnerable girls, boys, and adolescents. The assessment will address key questions related to access to resources, barriers faced by non-dominant groups, decision-making, vulnerability to protection threats, and existing prevention and response mechanisms.

Location: Ramu, Teknuf, Camp 1W, Bangladesh

Duration of Assignment: 4 months (April 2023 – July 2023)

Narrative Description of Project: This project addresses the Rohingya refugee crisis in Bangladesh and focuses on the LEAP project implemented by Plan International Bangladesh. The objective is to enhance child protection mechanisms and the well-being of vulnerable girls, boys, and adolescents. The assessment will cover various aspects related to access, barriers, decision-making, vulnerability, and prevention/response mechanisms.

Description of Actual Services Provided by AIRD: Associates for Innovative Research and Developments (AIRD) provided services including the development of an Inception Report, Methodology, and Questionnaire, conducting Primary and Secondary Data Collection, Data Entry and Analysis, and Monitoring of the project. Additionally, AIRD was responsible for Report Writing.
