Objectives: The project aims to conduct an impact evaluation to investigate the impact, effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, and sustainability of the EUCSO project. The evaluation provides an independent assessment of the project’s achievements, strengths, and weaknesses, informing future programming of Oxfam in Bangladesh in specific thematic areas. It also seeks to surface lessons learned, reasons for changes, and recommendations for future interventions.

Location: Nilphamari, Rangpur, Kurigram, Gaibandha, Jamalpur, Sirajgonj, Kishoregonj, Netrokona, Sunamgonj, Satkhira, Pirojpur, Barguna, and Chittagong, Bangladesh

Duration of Assignment: 18 months (June 2021 – December 2022)

Narrative Description of Project: Oxfam_GB initiated the EUCSO project to enhance the participation of community-based organizations (CBOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) in democratic governance in Bangladesh. The impact evaluation aims to assess the project’s impact, effectiveness, and sustainability. It serves as a critical instrument for informing future programming for Oxfam and its partners associated with the initiative.

Description of Actual Services Provided by AIRD: Associates for Innovative Research and Developments (AIRD) provided various services for this project, including the development of an Inception Report, Methodology, and Questionnaire, conducting Primary and Secondary Data Collection, Data Entry and Analysis, and the Impact Evaluation of the project. Additionally, AIRD was responsible for Report Writing.
